Not terrible but you can see what I mean:

Stains on awning on restaurant (Windows were all filthy as well):

Corridor carpets stained up all over:

Cheap broken pictures on walls:

Permanent leaks never fixed (carpet soaked all week under this):

Fountain feature all smashed:

Corridors full of water:

Rooms like this visible in corridors:

General air of broken and scruffy, even paint just splashed all over floor:

Building site at top:

Just thought it needs a big refurb.
Sorry if others don’t agree this was our impression though and we think there’s a lot better.
Oh my word that’s terrible
We were there in March last year and honestly didn’t see any of that.
If I’d seen those pictures before I wouldn’t have booked it.
We were on the Royal Elite package and our room was quite nice.
Are those awnings at the buffet by the pool?
We never went in there at all so didn’t see that but it doesn’t give a very good impression at all.

All are amazing and at 2k (is that all inclusive rate?) it’s well worth it in my view it’s wonderful. Normally for 4 it’s 6k a week in school hols with flights.
Grand Tagora was Dreams Castillo when we went. David Cameron stayed there just after us. It’s nice, better than Papagayo, but Iberostar a different class.
If we can’t get to Florida at Xmas and they reopen the canaries we have already planned to book it.
Thank you so much. You have been really helpful. The Lanzarote Park is £1950 paying on arrival for a double sea view room with AI.
Can you remember if you can book a late departure room ? Our flight home isn’t til quite late.

Hope you manage to go away somewhere for Christmas. My dream is to go away for Christmas but family not keen. I will do one day even if I go on my own !

We just asked them and they granted it. My parents also stayed and got upgraded to a suite as it was their wedding anniversary.

We were in refurbed sea view rooms. The awnings were on the main restaurant- the outside bit.
Sunbeds needed skipping as well. Everything just seemed like it needed refurbishing. For example tiles missing off pool, tennis court fence all falling apart etc.
They had redone the specialist restaurant and that was nice. Rooms were fine as they were the refurbed ones.
We were surprised it gets so many people saying it was good on Tripadvisors. Maybe they have refurb and tidied up more since we were there?
Strange thing about that hotel is the obsessive up sell to this Royal whatever they call it. We found it preposterous- we don’t drink much and anyway had the kids with us. I feel the hotel has maybe invested in the upcharge side at the detriment to the rest- but we were in the same ‘good’ rooms.
It wasn’t terrible but we wouldn’t go back.
As I say I don’t want to demean others’ impression of the place but it wasn’t for us.

We did go to the specialist restaurant a couple of times and enjoyed it.
Now you’ve said it was the outside bit of the main restaurant I can see now.
I don’t think they had those awnings out when we were there they had big umbrellas out.
I had a quick look through my photos this morning and can see a sunbed that should’ve been thrown away.
We didn’t go around the main pool we stayed by the adult area as there’s only the 2 of us.
I did say to my husband that the lounge we had use of could do with a refurb it was ok but a bit tired.

Would you say it is worth going AI if we book a Lanzarote Park Star Prestige room ? Am I right in thinking that the Prestige Pool bar and lounge is open all day for drinks, coffees etc ? If so we probably don’t actually need the all inclusive package.

Sorry for being a pain keep asking you questions
Thank you !

Well, I was looking at the Sandos! But I’m not now 😂

I really like the look of Lanzarote Park but it’s more than I wanted to spend.

I’m thinking about AI (though we never normally do that) as I wonder if it might be a better bet in these unusual times.

I like the Flamingo Beach area so was hoping to be close (ish) to there

Also hoping quarantine doesn’t become a thing for when we want to go 😂
