Boys Name or Girls Name? Update post 15

This is our pup who is going to be called Sable (probably )

We bring it home in 3 weeks

The reason we are a bit undecided about the name is because we are not sure whether it is more suitable for a boy or a girl.

Obviously we know what sex Sable is, but what do dibbers think?

We had a dog called sable when I was a toddler she was a girl. So girl for me.

Plus he/she is adorable

Girls I think. Youngest DD watches an Australian family of kids on YouTube, and one of the girls is called Sable, so I’ve probably been influenced by hearing DD talk about her!

For a human, I'd edge towards a girl's name, but the only one I can think of is Sable Colby from Dynasty.

For a dog, and one as cute as that, I think it works for either.

For a human I would say girl but won't have an opinion on a boy called Sable tbh. For a puppy either.

When I seen the name I thought I was going to see a sable coloured pup lol.
Either boy or girl I don’t think Sable is exclusive to a specific sex.
