bonnies mum Imagineer Join Date: Apr 09	Should you wash/rinse the dried fruit beforehand? I have done so in the past but not sure if I should. On original question - I only soak in brandy overnight.

I soak for about 48 hours in brandy. Then bake the cake. The pour remainder of brandy over the cake and leave it airtight till I marzipan. All brandy absorbed!
