Sir Phil Redmond

As someone born in the early 1970’s Id say thoroughly deserved- Grange Hill, Brookside were some of my favourite programmes.

Very realistic and gritty programmes - dealt with hard hitting issues.

I thought Brookside went bad though near the end with what I saw as a ridiculous storyline in 1995.
A virus hit the close, old people dropping dead, fight back by Ron Dixon against closing his shop for quarantine and eventually the police enforcing lockdown and Mick being tracked by a helicopter as he tried to escape.

Erm🤔

I loved Brookside. So many great actors and some controversial and memorable storylines. Shame it all got a bit silly towards the end

Yes I think Brookside was my favourite soap at one time, I also remember it got silly and was not watching by the time it was put out of its misery.
