Disneyland park tickets / insurance

Hi , not sure if anyone will know / can help but worth a try ... we have 4 adult DL Ca park hopper tickets , was meant to be going this month obviously all cancelled 😭, we have full reimbursement on accom / hire car / flights etc but obviously the park tickets are non refundable , i know we can extend the validity on them but its Very doubtful 2 people will be able to travel with us in future dates , we took out virgin holiday insurance early January before they started putting Covid restrictions in place , so has anyone tried to claim their park tickets on their insurance & been successful ? I did contact virgin & was just told to put in a claim & see 🤷🏼

Or can these unused tickets be sold on by myself ?

Hi , the Insurance covers excursions apparently so a trip to the park is an excursion maybe 🤷🏼, did you buy yours via disney themselves & was it a package or just the park tickets ?

I bought mine from ATD for this august and they should have been non refundable but they offered me the option to have an 80% refund or have a credit note valid for next year which we chose as we are rescheduling for next august all being well.

Just to report i phoned california again , explained after this year we are unable to travel as a party of 4 & extension of tickets was really no use & they said they would make an exception & issue a refund , full amount was back on my card 5 days later .. well done disney being reasonable about it 🙌🏻 ( now we are temporarily shelving Ca plans , continuing with our wdw 50th anniversary plans & hubby & me thinking about a week to tokyo DL just the 2of us next year 😬
