Alamo Garage
Hey,
I've just booked car hire for upcoming trip with Alamo Brits. Going to try and do the SaveTime and online check-in (if it'll let me, as I've prepaid). Where is the Alamo garage that we'll go to? It's been a long time since we've hired a car! Obviously I'll be able to find the desks, but where to do I go to get straight to the garage? And is there a desk there with someone?

As you exit the area where all the rental desks are you just walk across the road to the garage where Alamo is based. About 100 yards at the most. You then will find a staff member who directs you to the line of cars where you size is located. Well signposted

You can also go to either the A or B side garage. We went to the B side as we wanted to take the south exit out the airport and as 3 Virgin planes landed close together a lot of people were heading to the A side-there wasn't another person at the Alamo garage at the B side and we had about 10 cars to choose from!

Hi Vickitoria
Just read your comment and that raised my interest because I am driving to Anna Maria from the airport and thought that the southern exit would be quicker and by-pass most of the traffic on I4 till joining it further south. My question is (finally), is it well signposted to the B side garage? And, also, do you know if I can go there and still "Skip the Counter" Many thanks for any help. |

On Sat 9th May 3 brits flights landed close together (I was on gatwick) - we waited on the plane for 20 minutes due to the virgin manchester flight landing before us and the passport contrrol was full.
Plenty of choice when we got to the alamo garage - and this was after trying to find our car seat that wasn't where it was suppose to be. We had a choice of about 10 cars - mainly jeep chrokee (in suv class) - not the grand cherokee, shoudl of got the dodge but I hate black cars so ended up with a white hyundai santa fe - which was fine for us. |
