My mum made something she called a cheese dream. It was a fried cheese sandwich! Delicious

My Dad made the best honey and lemon drink. We had it if we were poorly with a cold or sore throat. Even as an adult if we were sick he’d create a batch... since he died I’ve tried to recreate it but just can’t. Another thing to miss him for but a lovely memory as it often came with a cuddle and being covered with a blanket on the sofa.

My mother made cheese dreams, her version was French toast with cheese in the middle.

My favourite was my granny's porridge. No one has ever come close to making it the way she did.

My Nan made the best toast. I don’t know what she did, but I know she has proper thick white bread, and proper salted butter.

It was the best!
