Pretty sure any flight operator can move your flight to another one so long as they get you to your destination.

Yes I understand that, but we paid £200 extra for the earlier flight, the least they could do is offer a refund. If we were not fussed we would have gone for the cheaper later flight at the time of booking.

Why should someone booking now who has not had a flight change save £232 to what I paid?

Not necessarily. I recently had a problem with my Revolut card. I'm not on Twitter but I am on Facebook and I posted a message on their Facebook page. I received a response within 10 minutes and the matter got sorted straight away!

So 2 weeks on and no reply, contacted Virgin again and then told me it had been in their junk folder(surely you would check that). Anyway, will not refund me, I think it is shocking. Any further advice anyone can give?

They moved us to a different flight and also moved us to economy when we had paid for PE. This was on the return journey, MCO to LGW. We really kicked up about it and we are now leaving a day later (in PE) and have been well compensated for it. Stand your ground, I am sure they will see reason in the end!

Wow! So are you telling me they tried not to compensate you for the downgrade?

Well this could be a great little scam. Sell the expensive early flight seats then just move people to the cheaper later flight and Re-sell the more expensive/desirable ones. Don't see how that is acceptable.

Well the early flight has gone, but same kinda thing though, sell 300 x early flights at £550 = £165000. Then move them to the later £475 flight. So 300 x £475 = £142500. Virgin gain £22500! Not bad for 1 days work of moving the expensive flight passengers to the later cheaper flight.
