As someone said earlier, the golden figure to meet..or beat... seems to be around £1900 a head.

In 2018, for our brood of 4xA and 2xC flying from Glasgow, total cost came to around £10,400 for 2.5 weeks, excluding spends.

Includes a couple of rooms at a nice gulf coast hotel for a few nights followed by 2 weeks at a 5 bdrm villa in Kissimmee, a premium SUV, 14 day "Ultimate Tickets" for the 13 theme parks and 2 rooms for a night at Hard Rock hotel.

A scary indulgence and I wish I hadn't added it up

Our last one was a bit late booking, was £870 flights for 2 ad, 1ch, £750 approx accommodation, £900 approx Disney, £600 disc cove, no universal, so about £3300, £1100 pp for two weeks. No car but used Uber ( was around £250). We didnt spend alot on shopping or eating out, not sure of how much that was!

11500 euro last time, 2 weeks onsite SSR, one night at HRH, direct flight, car hire, spends shopping, MNSSHP.

Next time we are going to more expensive time of the year and trying to keep at same budget but lets see how it goes. No Universal for now anyway to try to deal to keep at same budget. We did a lot of shopping last time - very practical things as sports gear for our son, tennis gear for DH. Without shopping the bill would have been probably 10 000.

At the risk of hijacking this thread can I ask what time of year you are going and which hotel you are staying in? Are the flights direct?

Thank you

Our last holiday was 3 from Manchester flying uc, 2 weeks okw with Disney tickets, 10 nights car hire standard suv, 1 night hrh and tickets for universal and blue man group and spends of about $3000 the total cost was about £15000. We don’t go away every year it’s about every 3 years and we do save up very hard.
