Still nothing here, following the last phone call. They seem to give a different reply / reason to each person!
ps - when / if we ever do both get sorted, I'll raise a glass of wine!

I don’t get how this can be the case tho as we’ve linked for dates later than yours at SSR, tho we are in a 1 bed

Well I'm just off the phone again (25 mins) and spoke to 2 different people. The first one actually told me that I'd been told to ring back in a week or two and it had only been 6 days; and that it doesn't really matter as i can't do anything until the 180 day mark! I couldn't seem to make her understand that I'm not bothered about linking it - I just want it confirmed so I know it's ok. So I'm no further forward - the resort 'has not yet confirmed the reservation' and they are unable to tell me when it may or may not happen.
3.5 weeks past the 330 day check out date and I'm losing patience now!

Hi all,

We are waiting on a one bed studio from 31/10-14/11 and this was my third call as we still haven't linked and are about 300 days from the return.

I don't want to panic anyone still waiting, but...

The lady told me that Saratoga have started to reject bookings for that time period and that the one beds are fully booked. Apparently guest services have to try "one more time" but she told me it wasn't looking likely that our reservation is going to be honoured and she offered me a free cancellation, which doesn't work for us as we have non-refundable flights after spotting a good deal over Christmas.

Apparently they don't HAVE to move us to an alternative resort and if we choose to go upwards then we have to pay the difference. Currently the only rooms they have available for our fortnight are club level Yacht Club for twice our budget, or AKL standard room with bunks (which made me laugh as we have just come back from AKL in a bunk room) for £1,500 more.

If we decide to downgrade, then the only room currently available at a moderate is a pirate room at CBR, which again is far from ideal as we have stayed at CBR before and the pirate rooms are miles from anywhere. We would get to keep our dining plan though.

I'm pretty gutted and very hopeful that Disney can pull something out of the bag for us as a) I don't want to lose £1,500 worth of non-refundable flights and b) its the trip for my 40th and our last one in a while so I wanted it to be a good one.

Hopefully everyone has better luck than us and things will work out.

Oh, no! We only chose DVC (after much recommendation and being told by everyone that "everyone gets their booking at SSR and OKW" from the Dibb and other forums) because we need the extra space - a single bedroom will just not be ok this time.
If I don't hear soon I might have to cancel and look for other accommodation, which will mean no DDP and really disappointing our daughter (never stayed onsite) who's coming with us for her 40th this trip.

Same. We even (maybe foolishly) booked flights on the basis that it would be OK and that Disney wouldn’t leave us stranded. I find it weird that folk arriving the day after us have been confirmed. I’d have been ok if they’d just offered to stick us somewhere else on the first night when all we do is crash out anyway.

I really hope you get sorted. I’m going to call them regularly and keep an eye on this thread too. I have faith that the fact Disney haven’t proactively called us with a compromise (as they were happy enough to take a deposit) means something will work out.
