Glad I am staying on-site as it is now getting to be a high cost to add onto your holiday. A friend of mine has just come back and used Uber spent around £380 on getting around which is starting to tip the balance into not having a car when you are over there now

That's got to add quite some time to the start of your day. I'd rather get to the park.

Shame Disney own most of the land around WDW, otherwise it would be a perfect opportunity for a 3rd party to create Park and Ride service...

Takes a great chunk of time to do that. I value my time in the parks too much. Stay on site and your parking is free.

The land around WDW IS WDW! All 40 square miles of it. It's the size of San Francisco.

Whilst the parking charge is high I really don't understand why, when on holiday, people can be bothered to park at DS, get a bus to one of the resorts, then get another bus to a park. It must add at least a couple of hours to the day.

Add it in to the cost of the holiday, along with eating, drinking, tips, fuel etc.

Alternatively, work out the cost of off/on site including the parking.

When we were on a resort bus late one night-can't recall which one the bus dropped a very tired family off at a water park...
I was most confused -then realised they had obviously parked their car there; just bonkers.

I was surprised to see it was $22 not $20 when we pulled up to the gate this morning as I hadn't read anywhere it was changing.

I completely accept there are costs associated with parking, but it is a big increase on the $15 I think we paid when we first came in 2011
