1st cruise

Hi all

We are looking to book a 4 night Disney cruise for Feb 2009 has anyone got any advice on how much we should be looking to pay? Is there anywhere cheaper to book than the cruise site? Is it worth paying the extra for deluxe/oceanview rooms?
Thanks

It will be cheaper to avoid President's Weekend - but that said it is also a very good time to cruise, as all the Orlando Parks will be heaving but the ship has limited numbers.

You will normally get better prices by booking direct with DCL , or a reputable US tavel cruise specialist -this is not just down to the dollar being weak either ! You also get the added advantages of selecting specific cabins (provided you book early) and being able to book excursions etc., on line.
Have a look on the DCL website to give you a general idea...I would guess start at roughly around £250pp -£400pp (depending on whether sailing Presidents Weekend) based on a family of 2 adults /2 kids for the 4 nighter based on past experience.

The sooner you book (if doing it direct with DCL or a US agent), the cheaper it will be, and you will have the advantage of being able to cancel or swap dates, without charge, up to around 75 days before sail date.

Whether its worth getting an ocean view is a matter of your budget and personal preference.

For a short cruise, in the winter months (ie limited daylight hours) it would not be a total necessity to have an ocean view...just my personal opinion; porthole cat9 would probably be more than adequate, a verandah cabin would be an indulgence... but taking an inside cabin would be no big deal IMO either.
Just my opinion.

Thumbs up

I agree Vacations2Go have great deals. We're going to Italy with Royal Norweigan through them and got a great discount.
Another good US company are Small world vacations - we booked a disney cruise through them and got a good deal.
Have a great time. It's a magical experience.
