Oh Su, one of my favourite pastries in WDW...that just looks like heaven on a plate

We usually head down that way to sit and eat our ice creams...well I always make a mess of myself!

Are those sandwiches on the menu at lunchtime too? If so, I've missed them in the past and they look scrummy - so much so that I am already planning on having one of those turkey sandwiches for lunch one day.

As we were staying at Saratoga Springs, it seems logical to begin with some food from Artist’s Palette.

Paul turned into an omelette addict on this holiday, so he always us got the same thing, and as I was too lazy to venture over to Artist’s Palette in the mornings myself, I never did find what else was on offer for breakfast.

The omelettes were very good though - as were my nice long lie-ins whilst Paul went over to fetch them.

Hi McSue,

Loving your foodie-trippie so far. We're staying at SSR later in the year. Can I ask what section you stayed in? It sounds as though you're quite close to AP so you could nip to get breakfast.

Really looking forward to the rest of your report too as about 90% of the restaurants you've listed are on our ADR shortlist. It'll be good to see what you make of them.

Oooh lots of new readers. Welcome along on the food tour everyone!

Lovely to see you all – old friends, and new

batleyboy26 – The sandwiches are available for most of the day, but they tend to start wrapping them all up in clingfilm after a while, so they are not quite so eye-catching. Maybe that’s why you missed them before. I think I might get one for lunch next time, too.

Blue Kangaroo - Paul drove across to get breakfast in the mornings, AP wasn’t far away at all, but he wasn’t going to chance his omelette getting cold on the return.
On all the other occasions we walked. I’d say it took about 5-10 minutes to amble over from where we were in Congress Park.

Hi McSue

I'm another newbie to your food reports and am particularly looking forward to reading more! We are about to (well in just under 4 weeks!) stay at SSR for the first time and as we have bought the DDP for 9 days we will be having more Disney food than ever before and we are trying all new places - none of our usual repeats - the veggie sandwich looks lovely at SSR - think that will be my 1st meal of choice when we arrive!

Looking forward to reading more...

Oooh you lucky thing. Wish I was coming with you!

Just to add that the veggie sandwiches at AP were not actually on the menu board, but just ask for one at the order point and they will be happy to make it for you.

I'm trying to put together my Citricos report at the mo, but constant interruptions at this end are blocking the flow...

Su, just wanted to say that the food pics look gorgeous! I can't wait to read the rest of your report.
We've never actually bothered with the DDP - mainly because I never fancied the extra planning involved in booking the ADRs... but you've definitely got me tempted... we might just have to give it a go on the next trip!
