Wee've done that cruise twice, although the second time we didn't get to Castaway Cay due to a hurricane. There are posters who will tell you it's too short, but we enjoyed it, and it was within our budget.

I wrote a trip report which you can read here.

In my November 2013 we did this cruise if you wanted to have a read.

With your family size I would say look at 2 x inside adjoining cabins as I think the maximum you can have in one room is 5.

Your kids will have a great time in the kids clubs, the food is amazing, the service second to none, but be warned, it's addictive

I am one of those people who will always recommend a 4 night cruise over a 3 night and I will carry on doing it, because most people who have done both can see the benefits of the extra day.

Of course, if you can't afford it, then it's a no brainer to go for the 3 night, but it's always worth looking at the cost before making a final decision.

You will need to have 2 staterooms unfortunately ... You could have 2 connecting rooms, or, depending on how much you trust the older two, maybe rooms across the corridor from each other, so you have the veranda and they'd have an inside room.

Have fun looking ... Don't forget the sticky thread at the top has loads of info about DCL.

Oh no! Would be devastated if we didn't get to dock at Castaway Cay! The price means this will probably be our only cruise!

It happens unfortunately, but I can say, they try really hard to get you there in adverse weather. 99 times out of 100 you'll be fine, but even Disney can't control the weather!

If they know the weather will be bad on the CC day, they can try to swap the days around so you miss Nassau instead, but they can't always do this.
Try not to worry though, it will ruin the excitement for you,
