Mobile Eurostar and kids

Hi all, we've booked to visit next feb & will be travelling via Eurostar, but we have 2 children under 5, would you pay for seats for them for the journey or have people managed without? We will be going feb half term. Thanks

I believe it's children under 4 (so 3 and below) that can sit on your seat. We haven't tried it, standard plus seats are wider than standard seats so it might be worth upgrading if you're thinking of not having seats for your children.

Thank you, is it common practice to not buy seats for your children? Or will it be frowned upon? The website said from 5 I think, but I could well be wrong!

Hello, it is under 4s that travel free, best thing to do is go on to your booking and edit your seats, pick a table of 4 and book the outside seats. Its unlikely for people to pick the inside seats and sit next to people they dont know so theyre usually left unoccupied meaning you could use it for your little ones x

Im afraid, we havent changed since I was about 8(ten years ago) but that was Paris we think sorry, weve always heard its easy. Oh and i meant to say we have taken a 2.5 year old with us on the train that didnt have a seat and I have to admit if it wasnt for the fact that there was another seat free I wouldnt have found it the easiest, but people do manage xD
