Taking Childrens Party Pics
Ok its my sons 5th tomm and want to take pics of all the kids playing and having fun, problem is last year I had the camera on auto and no flash and the shots ended up blurred mainly because the kids wouldnt keep still, because its inside and not really bright the camera auto settings compensate by slowing the shutter speed resulting in blur if too much movement happens. Now I dont like to put flash on as I find in this instance it would make the child at the front really bright and everything else dark
I am fiddling with shutter speeds but trying to come up with a fairly foolproof way of getting good shots, non-flash with pin sharp children even if running around, and not to have the picture too dark. Any suggestions? apart from stapling the kids to the floor ( tried that and it doesnt work ) |

If you come up with a foolproof way let me know
Best bet is to ramp up the ISO rating, and lower the aperture setting. If using a DSLR, a fast lens (1.4f or 1.2f if you have lots of gold ) will add to the party, so to speak. |
