Mobile

I use mobile style almost exclusively and it works well once you get used to it.

I’m getting adverts under The Dibb banner just as I’ve always done.

I have a Samsung 10+ which I use for most of my dibbing and the tablet display is fine on that.

OH Has a smaller samsung phone and because the display is ...smaller..she has to use mobile mode.

Thanks for the earlier explanation Stu - it makes perfect sense.

Looks like you are actually using the Fluid style rather than the fixed desktop style.

Go to the Mobile Style then select desktop style from the drop down menu at the top and that will put you back in the correct style.

Hi Stu, can we not have a whipround to raise some funds?
Not sure how much it costs to run a forum like this but you do a fantastic job and I know that i for one would be lost if you had to close or even pause the site temporarily.
Maybe have a donations link to pay via paypal - I may be talking total rubbish but I'm sure there has to be a way we members can help

Hi,
Thank you for your post, it’s appreciated that members think this way.
My post above was just explaining the situation as to why some changes are being made not to try and elicit money from members.

We wouldn’t feel comfortable with a whip around or donations as after all we do run the DIBB as a business.

We do have the DIBB Passholder subscription which gives subscribers a way of supporting the DIBB along with some extra features/benefits on the site, all goes to help with running costs. We don’t really promote this other than a links under your username and in the menu as we feel members should only subscribe if they feel it is right for them.

We are expecting things to pick up again once travel and Florida are open to UK visitors. It is just a matter of waiting to see what the landscape is like when we come out of this at the other end.

One thing we are considering is expanding the DIBB With an additional dedicated section to cover the UK holiday market. We feel initially there will be many more people that will holiday in the UK over the next couple of years, at least until confidence and finances improve.

It’s all a bit of an unknown at the moment. All I can say is we don’t intend to close the DIBB but as with many businesses changes will be sort of forced upon us as we slowly try and recover from this pandemic.
