Question What has caused this !

Took these two photos moments apart as you can see something has caused the sky to change colour
Any ideas what might have caused this so I can do it again!

Hi,
These were not taken moments apart...

Look at the shadows of the people they are 180 degress different in both pictures.

First picture the sun was behind over your left shoulder in the second picture the sun was in front to the right
With the sun in front it has saturated the the scene.

They were taken moments apart, all be it the freaky one was first, the other one was taken to make sure that I had not broken the camera as I took both photos

Anne,
In the first picture look at the shadow of the little boy in Red you can see that the shadow is in front of him, this means the sun has to have been behind him, which means the sun was behind you.

If you look at the second picture the sun is in front of you, top right of picture, this is what has caused the saturation and colour effect.

If you brighten the picture up a little you can see the shadows of the people are now in the opposite direction. It looks like one picture taken in the morning and the other in the afternoon, going by the shadows.

Hi
Agree its a great picture it would be difficult to get those effects normally however if they were taken moments apart then from the clear Blue sky to what looks like thick Cirrus cloud in that fraction of time would be quite a phenomena. Also the sun appears to be visible through the cloud and possibly later than midday.
