Glasgow to Gatwick then onto MCO. When I look on manage my booking the only flight now showing is our return leg on 24th MCO to Gatwick. Ill maybe try and get in touch over the next few days. Dont want to reschedule just looking for a refund

We are on the same outbound flight, booked as a package with BA. Really hoping they cancel before I have to phone them on Friday.

I emailed yesterday and said that as borders are closed and it is less than 3 weeks before the flight (17th)could they let me know what the current situation is (I didn’t mention the words voucher or refund) They said they would refund my money (paid in full in December) AND refund my seat bookings! 🙌🥳

The following now appears on ba.com - hope it helps those travelling in October.

You can claim a voucher to the value of your booking, valid for travel until 30 April 2022, if:

You booked prior to 3 March 2020 for travel due to have started by 31 October 2020
You booked between 3 March 2020 and 13 October 2020 for travel due to be completed by 31 August 2021


Vouchers can be used as payment, or part payment, for a future booking. Your new trip booked with your voucher must be fully completed by 30 April 2022 (departure and return). You will receive your voucher by email within seven days of your application.

I had this same issue. I was due to fly Gatwick- Tampa on the 25th oct I phoned BA a few day’s ago and they told me to phone back on the day my balance was due and they would refund my money if the uk travel advice remained the same but they cannot refund before 3 weeks before travel. I got a cancellation confirmation on Monday so no need for this for me but might help you and others.

So I spoke with Netflights this morning via twitter got a response right away. They said my refund request has been submitted via BA and confirmed the timescales for me getting the refund is up to 10 weeks 🙃
