I use Lastminute for theatre tickets as well as TKTS.co.uk. Both have been good for me. Quite often you can get dinner deals that will give you, essentially, a free meal as the tickets and food far outweigh the cost of the seat. Lion King does have some cheaper seats available but in the main it is still very popular. If you just want to go to the theatre then look for a show that is offering cheaper seats. Also - Saturdays and Sundays are usually more expensive than midweek. Hope this helps.

I have sat in the very back row for Wicked and it's fine!

Can't remember but my point is there are really no bad seats in that theatre. I've picked up a £15 ticket on a whim after work there before, and it was fine.

Can any of you lovely London DIBBers suggest a nice restaurant for the DH and I? We are paying a visit for my birthday and have afternoon tea at Claridges and a trip to Bodeans. I would like to try somewhere a bit different, we're quite open to different types of food and don't mind paying reasonable amount (but not for a pea on a lettuce leaf!)
We're just a bit sick of wandering aimlessly when we go and ending up in Ask...

I would recommend Gilgamesh in Camden or Daphne's in Kensington.

For Saturday or Sunday brunch, you can't beat the Cookbook Cafe.

Try Asia De Cuba - I absolutely love it there. Portions are generous and their lobster mash is amazing as are the bento boxes.
