Fireworks are not easy to take pictures of.
With any camera especially small point and press once you move away from the object of the picture the flash power diminishes, to take these sort of pictures turn the flash off and try and stabilise the camera as much as possible. Having said all that once she remembers to turn the flash off it's great. I'll try and find some to post. |

I think the 275 is 20 Mega Pixels and the 265 is 16 Mega Pixels.

My friend is a professional photographer, and he gets stunning results from his point and shoot "pocket" camera as he calls it. My 14 year old daughter is a very keen amateur but I end up lugging her Cannon DSLR and lens around whilst she's on rides etc. I think for holiday memories a simple point and shoot is ample, just practise before you go so its use becomes second nature.

The larger the amount of Pixels the more information contained in the picture and the larger the file size. This is great if you want to enlarge a picture to the size of a poster but in the real world 16 Mega Pixels is more than enough.
I looked for night shot pictures but don't have anything like the sort you would take at Disney, we only got the camera last year and went to Hong Kong and Thai Land so not that sort of Holiday. It's a very good camera but take a trip to Currys have a look at one, ask the staff they may have other opinions or a new model may have come out in the last 12 months, then check prices on-line. |

I still think the Panasonic lumix tz series is unbeatable as a point and shoot.
The TZ60 is about £200 and the TZ70 which is the latest model is about £250. Well worth a look. I've got the TZ60 with a couple of spare batteries and it's a fantastic bit of kit (trouble is I always want the latest model! ) |

I'm a wedding photographer and I always take my DSLR. But I've recently bought a Canon G16 just for Florida. It's a professional point and shoot, a DSLR that fits in your pocket. It has its own limitations but should be good for vacation photos.
Can pick them or the G15 up quite cheap now |
