Chester restaurants

Can anyone suggest good restaurants in Chester City Centre?

Me and two girlfriends are visiting this weekend and I have only just started my research

We love American, Italian, Good British Food, Chinese, Indian & most other things to... except fish!

We will be visiting the Zoo, are there any other must do activities / things to see whilst we are there?

Hickorys is extremely popular and lively,chez jules is a lovely French bistro,black house grill or la fattoria is a great Italian..All highly recommended

Definitely recommend Hickories. The Botanist is really good also (they do amazing cocktails). If you have time, another idea could be to visit Cheshire Oaks for a few hours and get some bargains.

There's so much choice in Chester, plenty of the usual chain restaurants such as Bella Italia, Carrluccio's, La Tasca. For Italian our favourites are Piccolino and Convivio. Other popular places not already mentioned include Bar Lounge, Odd Fellows, Upstairs at the Grill, The Architect, Joseph Benjamin. Telford's Warehouse is another good choice they have live music on several times per week.

Zugers is great for coffee and a cake, their afternoon tea is fab.
