The general rule is to book DLP direct, but travel arrangements separately. How are you planning to get there? How many people and how long for? Check out the DLP site and have a play about with dates etc. Mid-week is often quieter but as you're looking at October half term it is going to be busy, particularly with all the Halloween bits. Good luck - I'm sure others will be along soon with more advice.

Hi, I've just booked up for 5 adults and an infant. Went through all options from the north east (fly, coach, train, car). Flying was by far the cheapest from either Leeds or Edinburgh, Newcastle flights not great as none of the cheapies go from there.

With the good offers on site was cheaper for us as includes the ticket prices although you could get cheaper offsite than we looked at.

Agree with above poster, booking direct for onsite is cheapest

If your looking at flights you also need to factor in transfer costs, Charles de Gaul is the closest airport and has the best transfer options, be very wary of flights to Beavais, it's quite some distance away & not the best connected.

We are from the north east too and are driving, but have decided to do the hill to zebrugge overnight ferry.
Worked out at £400 for 3 adults and 2 children in there highest grade cabin.

See my post on the above link, proves that you can sometimes do it cheaper through a travel agent!
