Shopping in Miami

Hi Dibbers!

We leave for Florida in less than 2 weeks and whilst there we have 1.5 days in Miami. I want to do a bit of shopping whilst there but no idea where to go. Looking for clothing/golf equipment/sportswear?

Cheers

There are plenty of big shopping malls in Miami, of which Aventura is the biggest. They are all relatively expensive (although still cheaper than the UK) However, you could give Sawgrass Mills a try. It has every major US clothes and sporting goods retailer, with goods at much lower prices. This is a vast outlet mall near Fort Lauderdale, about 40 minutes up the Turnpike from Miami. You can also get a free shuttle bus to pick you up from most hotels. You will need the best part of a day, and plenty of stamina, to get round it, though.

Another vote from me for Sawgrass Mills.
We were in Miami two weeks ago and visited Aventura ( we had been before many years ago) it was just OK but Sawgrass was brill - very large and tiring but worth it - many bargains to be had - if the Brazilians leave anything !

I found Miami really expensive for shopping. Better off buying in Orlando if you can as sooo much cheaper.
