I did an online chat last night and asked whether WiFi was available on the Man to MCO route and was told categorically it wasnt, premium or otherwise - perhaps they were testing it out? Not exactly the end of the world, more a nice to have.

We flew 4 weeks ago Man-MCO on 747 and it had wifi. Maybe it was a trial or something but it definitely had wifi.

Thanks THOscar - do you mind me asking was that in PE only or economy as well? It would appear that Virgin don't know what is and isn't available on their planes although I suppose they just refer to their own website for the information lol

That was PE although it was a paid for service so may have been available to the whole plane.

Thanks - not going for a month or so yet - hopefully if its been a success they might have retained it. It would seem odd not to if they have updated the aircraft to enable it. My daughter would be cock-a-hoop at the idea of sending messages to her friends from 35,000 feet :-)
