Food at CBR

Hi all,

Having only ever stayed in Villas whilst previously in Florida, this year we thought we'd split with a week in CBR and a week in a villa.

CBR is obviously being refurbished (more than I had realised at the time of booking

) Does anyone know what food will be available there whilst the refurbs are happening? I have seen pictures of the temporary food hall, but haven't really seen much else?

As far as I'm aware - and I'm hoping someone can correct me on this... there is the food hall, which is an all you can eat (?) buffet type situation for 1 quick service credit.

I think there's also a trailer nearby with some grab and go options.

There's also island markets (read: temporarily modified rooms with grab and go items and a drinks machine). These are in each cluster - I think (!).

From what I've read, the buffet is actually pretty good and really great value for a quick service credit. Grab and go are pretty much the same at any resort really, there just might not be as much choice at CBR as there is at other resorts. But really, how often would you eat on site at your hotel over a week anyway.

We've stayed there for the full two weeks (not while the refurb was on) and only ate dinner there once, and a grab and go breakfast in the hotel.

There is also a new QS based in Trinidad south that is due to open this Monday.
It is called the spyglass grill and you can find the menu if you google it.
