Any recent visitors to the Holy Land Experience?

Well, the title says it all really. I've had a scan through a few old threads, but they all seem to be a bit disappointing.

DD (9) is really keen on the idea, and DH thinks that it will be a lovely experience for her. She goes to a C of E school, and is in the RE club.

So, I just wondered whether or not it would be worth taking her (I expect it would be a full day of a job, so we would have to change our itinerary - I'm a bit loath to do this! ) - but if you could give me some advice then I'll gladly take it. Thanks!

From reading their website one day when I was bored it looks like you could it in half a day. Some of it is too in depth for kids. They have a couple of shows which I imagine you may like if you are strongly religious? Take a look at the website before you book it give's you info on the "attractions" and the church that runs it.
I remember Daisy Donovan going their and doing a show where she was in the play that they do. I am not sure of anyone that has been except the Flanders on the Simpson's which was great episode.

We haven't visited the attraction but when we were there in March it was on the news that there were financial difficulties and the staff and shows would have to be trimmed back to keep it afloat. Not a good recommendation I'm afraid.

I've not been but some comments I've seen say that it's biased towards born-again Christianity, so I'm not sure how this fits in with with your views or beliefs.
