DDP Childrens drink

Hi,
Just looking through the menu's trying to decide which ADR's to book in a few weeks and I have a question regarding drinks for children.
For a table service meal the children's menu always seems to include milk, apple juice or water. Are soft drinks included as well?
My kids are not massive fans of water, apple juice now and again and the thought of milk with a evening dinner sounds disgusting!
Just to confirm, as adults we get soft drinks included correct?

Yes, adults get soft drinks included and you can get soft drinks for the children too Drinks in souvenir cups aren't included.

Thanks.
If soft drinks are included for children then, why do they list milk, apple juice and water as part of the meal?

I don't really know, but we always got soft drinks when our children were younger.

They tend to list the healthier choices with things like soda and fries as alternatives underneath. Kind of like McDonald's showing the Happy Meals with apple slices instead of fries on TV.

American kids often have milk with meals.

Chocolate milk is usually available. My daughter drinks gallons of the stuff when we are there. Happy to let her as she usually only drinks squash, water or milk at home. No interest in fizzy drinks, so good to keep her hydrated.

It usually says soda is also available in smaller print.

It's very typical of a US menu to not list everything partly as they're often very accommodating at making amendments to things.

Also, as people have said they list what they consider to be the healthier options plus milk is a very popular choice for American kids to have with a meal.

Soda is so normal everywhere in the states it's probably assumed you'd know it would be available as well!

I thought it would be included, just wanted to double check.
I'm not a fan of fizzy drinks for my kids anyway, only now and again. Just that they normally have orange or black current squash.
Will we be able to take a small bottle of squash into restaurants for use with the water?

we plan on taking one of those wee squash'em things with us as my kids don't like fizzy and milk isn't meant to be the best to drink if you need to hydrate so, putting a wee ticky squash in their water will keep them happy
