Gulf coast farmer's market

We are staying in a villa in Rotonda West next April and we are hoping to go to a local (ish) farmer's market. There appear to be a few good ones on Tripadvisor, but wondered if anyone could make any recommendations.

We have stayed at Rotonda West for the last 2 years and going again this year. We visited the Farmer's Markets but I don't know that I would recommend any one over another.

The market at Punta Gorda is Saturday morning but not much good, Venice might be better.

There is a Thursday Farmers Market on Dearborn St, Old Englewood. It's about 10 min drive from Rotonda West. I think it runs from October through till end of April.

It usually spans both sides of the road selling a wide range of fresh foods, local produce and small arts & crafts. It is definitely worth a visit.

Make sure to take some bags with you as the stall owners don't supply carriers and take cash as most traders are small independents and don't take card payments 😎

Thank you all for your replies. I think we will visit a couple of the markets while there, taking in the local area too. I am so looking forward to mooching through our next Florida holiday without the call of an ADR or fastpass.😎

Sarasota saturday morning downtown market is wonderful and well worth driving up to.

It takes over several streets and has a friendly funky atmosphere with a wide range of stalls, eats and street entertainers. It's always a high spot of our trip. Sadly we missed last week's Woodstock Revival day

Get there early!
