Disney Dining Reservation Credit Card Charge
I have noticed on my credit card that when I have been making my ADR's this week Disney have taken a £1 debit on my virgin card for each reservation is this the norm ?
They look like this on my card 15/02/2018 WDP R ROOM INTECELEBRATIO N FL £1.00

It’s never happened to me but someone else reported it recently. It should drop off as it’s just Disney enduring the card is valid.

Surely it's a $1 charge not £1. They always do checks like this. There are merely shadows and will drop off. They do this when you check in at a resort when you want to use your card against your room. Its merely a security check that the card is valid. The only problem is that if you make quite few ADRs your bank may block your card for security purposes (their systems think somebody might be doing test transactions before a sting) until you confirm the transactions. Annoying but at least you know your bank is on the ball.

No they are definitely £1 I copied and pasted the bit showing the charge above
I will keep an eye on it Bizarrely I had to phone yak and yeti to make a reservation directly as we are 7 people and therefore a group at that restaurant and they didn’t ask me for a credit card perhaps I should call them back and see if they want a £1 😀

Best thing for Yak and Yeti- get a Landry's card online. Costs $25 but has $25 credit on. You also get $25 in your birthday month, which coincidentally like 99% of people is when you visit Animal Kingdom.
You can then turn up on spec, and you jump the queue including all the ADRs. So it's great as you are not a slave to a schedule, and you get $25 off to boot. |

A ghost≈authorization is when a merchant asks a bank to authorize a small amount against a customer's credit card or debit card through their merchant account prior to authorizing their actual purchase. ... The customer is then left to wonder “what is that one dollar≈charge≈for?” this is the actual wording ...
