Extra magic hours or most recommended on busy day guide?

Hi - we are staying in a Disney hotel for 1 night on the 2nd night of our holiday.

It is 180 days tomorrow until we arrive and we've decided that we'd like to do a Disney meal that day. We had planned breakfast.

Busy day guide suggests Animal Kingdom for our first day. So we were thinking Boma (although I know that is at the hotel) or Tusker House for breakfast and then be in the park early.

Hollywood Studios have extra magic hours that day though.

Do we do an early breakfast and be in AK before it properly opens - with fast passes booked and to try and get on some of the attractions before it is busy?

Or do HS for the extra magic hours and lunch somewhere (even though is isn't the most recommended on that day). Thinking that we wouldn't do breakfast because then we'd miss the EMH.

How do you decide the best itinerary. And is it worth doing breakfasts if we'll be at the parks for opening time anyway?

The busy day guide has EMH days as least recommended for off site guests. For on site guests it's recommended to use the EMH.
Both options sound good but as your only onsite for 1 night I'd use the EMH just because you can!

If you don't mind getting up early, I'd suggest heading for EMH at HS in the morning and then swapping to another park - such as AK - just before midday and have lunch there. It would probably be a good idea to book fastpasses at the second park too.

Morning EMH is great - the parks are about as quiet as they get during that time and so you can manage to do quite a lot in the first hour or two. It only starts to get really busy around 11am.

However, both options you suggest sound good. It really comes down to personal preference. If you don't fancy park hopping in the middle of the day, or only have base tickets, then go with the early breakfast at AK option.
