Universal paper tickets

Just a quick question, as I get ready to pack!

We have the paper tickets for universal, on the back is a place to put your name and signature, it also says id will be required.

Can I sign the tickets now, or need to it in front of a universal employee? Will they scan our finger prints on the first entry, and do I really have to take my passport into the parks?

Thanks

I've been asked for ID a few years ago on our first visit with multiday tickets.
It's hit or miss. Have a picture of your passport on your smartphone just in case, that should be enough for the odd TM asking for ID if you ever encounter one.

Sign your tickets now. If you spend time signing your tickets at the front of the queue going into the parks, then there will probably be a few impatient people behind you tutting wondering why you're taking so long.

They will scan your fingerprints when you first use the tickets to enter. You'll need to rescan the same finger every time you enter the parks, so remember which finger you used.

In all the times we've visited we've never been asked to show ID when entering the Universal parks. However, we have had to show our passports when exchanging vouchers for tickets and we've also had to show our passports once at Seaworld. It's very unlikely you will be asked for ID but take some just in case (I believe this can be any form of photo ID).
