Yak and yeti or Tusker House?
We have 1 day allocated for AK during our 7 nights onsite with DDP ( move to Clearwater after)original plan was yak and yet as we have a Landry card xso not tied to an ADR time ( wanted to be flexible around whenever we her a FP for FOP) but increasingly liking the look of Tusker House. We have 3 boys ( 12, 8,6) who love character dining, but already have a breakfast booked at garden grille for the character fix.
If we were to book TH would Dibbers recommend a Late brekkie or lunch? Or should we stick with the original plan of Yak and Yeti whenever is convenient? We are going on an EMH day with plan being to get on navi river journey at rope drop then take what we can get for FOP so don't want an early breakfast.

Personally we love Tusker house, it’s one of my favourite meals due to food choices and then characters as well! I prefer the side rooms as the large one can be quite noisey but not unbearable.
We did try Yak and Yeti once, it was fine and food nice but it was extremely busy and I was glad we had a table upstairs. It was raining and lots of the tables had people (wet) standing round them. To be honest though either are good choices. I’d go for lunch as well bette4 value for your DDP. Last summer they were doing a reservation with seating to rivers of light show so worth looking out for that. And I know you didn’t ask but I’d really do your other meal at the Cantina in Pandora... food really yum. :-)

We have had lunch at Tusker House three times and it was first on our list for this year too. The food has always been really good, and it’s a great way to tick off some important character meets at the same time .
Last year we booked ‘lunch’ at 11 ish and managed to get to the buffet around the time they were changing over from breakfast to lunch, so it’s possible to eat both breakfast and lunch food with an early lunch ADR. We had two terrible experiences at Yak and Yeti and it’s joint top of our ‘never again’ list along with Flying Fish. The food was ok, but we had issues with choice for our daughter who is vegetarian with a nut allergy. Disney are usually great at sorting stuff like that. While the server was keen to help, the manager who came to see us (two years running regarding the same issue) was the rudest person I have ever encountered at Disney, or in a restaurant anywhere I think. Plus it took so long to get through the meal and pay both times, we had pretty much lost the will to live by the end. I am also keen to try the Satu’li canteen in Pandora as I’ve only heard good things, so that will definitely be our second day Animal Kingdom meal this year .

I have eaten at both multiple times and prefer Yak and Yeti. Better food, much better service and better positioned tables. I find Tusker House really quit chaotic and have had poor service here twice. Same issue both times. Disinterested waiter when he (both times) learned I wasn’t ordering alcohol. That said we still go there if it suits our plans as the food is good and we love meeting Goofy! But with one choice I’d say Yak and Yeti.

Definitely Yak & Yeti but if you decide to go with TH go for a 10.30ish breakfast and you’ll get lunch too.

We won’t eat anywhere else when in animal kingdom than yak and yeti. If you are on the dining plan there is nothing better than a sit down lunch that is lovely, try the duck Just delicious.

The chicken tikka masala was the best I’ve ever eaten at Yak and Yeti.
