Upgrading 14 Day Ultimate or UK tickets to Annual Passes

Does anyone have any idea how much this costs? We are going in October this year and I was looking at quite a good deal for May 2012 and wondered what the cost would be to upgrade our Disney Ultimates to AP. Initially was thinking of just doing Universal parks if we go next year but would quite like to take DS to the Star Wars weekends as he is mad on Star Wars or maybe it would be cheaper to just have a one or 2 day MYW ticket, where do i find prices for these?

Thanks

It depends..

Officially you cannot upgrade Ultimate tickets to anything

BUT..
...it can be done if you get hold of the right person. People have reported success in the past, you would have to go to DTD to do it though.
The problem is that there is no equilavent US ticket and the US system does not have the monetary value of UK Ultimate tickets in it.

Could you do this even if you had the dining plan?

Current Annual pass prices are-

US$531.44 Adult

US$479.25 Child

If you are going in May it makes good financial sense - an annual pass also brings free parking in all the Disney parks.

We upgraded ultimates Christmas 2009 and simply went to the Will Call booth at TTC on way to MK, before first use of the ultimate tickets. They simply took the value of ultimates off cost of annual pass - using the exchange rate that day - needed to show passports as proof of who we were and we were then off to MK just 5 mins later. Simple to do and if you do the maths ( currency converter on dibb home page is handy for this! ) you will see how much you could save over two trips if planning to be at Disney on a regular basis over the two trips. If you have an AP remember to buy the exclusive pin for AP holders

possible email contact here
thro US site - so you will probably get a quick response

Remember that water parks aren't included in standard AP, that's what put me off

Thank you Walt4it, I have now emailed my requests

Jude - yes, it means you would need to upgrade to the Premium AP to get the same benefits plus parking.

Thanks for the replies to this and my apologies for the delay in thanking you. Now thinking that we may just wait until 2013 to go again so AP wont be needed after all :-(
