Not sure about the others and the rules, but caravans aren’t allowed to be parked on the road. They don’t pay road tax I believe? However, as several have said, lots of housing estates say you can’t have all kinds of strange things on there.
Even new builds now, my friend a has just purchased a brand new house, they aren’t allowed to brings work vans home and park them anywhere. It must seriously restrict where you can buy and live if you’re a florist, builder etc with your own business

In our area we are not allowed (it’s in the deeds) to park caravans on our drive.

Please don’t give in to these bullies it’s your drive as long as you don’t have any covenants in park whatever you like in it! If they didn’t want their front window to be obscured they should have bought a house where they owned the land you could see from it.

From what you're saying your drive-way can easily accommodate your caravan as well as other vehicles, in my opinion you should be able to park your caravan there but it might be worth considering a give and take approach.
Keep your caravan on your spacious drive during the months you use it and then winter it somewhere safe. |

I always thought it was snobbery too. Then I drive in my sister’s new build estate. Absolute nightmare trying to manoeuvre around all the cars which are parked everywhere as the spaces are so small (or there is only one space and three vehicles!) So I think that could be why, in new builds?

You are being bullied in my opinion. Please don’t ask their permission on what hedge to plant on your own land.

We used to pay to store our folding camper in a specialised secure compound but it did cost! Sold it now but there was no way DH wanted it on our drive. TBH neither did I but just thought about the cost involved. We have a neighbour with their caravan inches away from their living room window. Blocks out all light. It’s a great advert for letting you know the house is empty of the occupants

You sound like lovely, thoughtful neighbours with the way you have agreed to their demands in the past. Continue to be so, and as you go off to enjoy your new adventures, give the wannabe bullies a cheery wave.
