We are wanting the very beginning of the school hols as DH has to be back for GCSE results day. I have my travel insurance with my bank so will fall in to the “not being covered by Covid” group. Would I be able to take out extra insurance or cancel the bank insurance and take out an alternative? Would anyone know?

Last September, I paid £3200 for 2ad 1teen and 1 child for lhr-Miami, 2 nights at Cabana Bay with a Volcano view room and a Ford Mustang (we were travelling light 😉 ) for 24 days. (Leaving 21/7/20) This was in the BA sale so I’ll be interested in the cost of something similar for next year.

There’s nothing stopping you from taking out an extra insurance policy that covers the one trip. As for cancelling the bank insurance, I’m assuming this is a monthly price you pay for an added value account, that includes other things such as mobile phone cover and roadside assistance? If so it depends on if you need the additional cover.

Yes I do need the phone cover and RAC cover. Therefore won’t be cancelling the bank cover.😬

That’s who I’m with and you are right it is. I’ve used the RAC cover a few times through them and had no issues at all.

There are some amazing fly drive prices on BA at the moment for mid July to August.

I have just searched for LGW to MCO 18th July returning TPA to LGW 6th August with a large car it is coming in at £2828. Both flights are direct and the price is for 2 adults 3 children age 16,13 and 8. If you click on the link for the car the price actually comes down of you select the budget S range car.
