NEW: Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon will remain closed at least through March 7, 2021.

The *current plan* is for one of those parks to open on March 7.

Seems reasonable to keep them closed until Spring. I wouldn't be surprised to see them only open one water park next year whilst demand remains low

Not surprised really, as I very well know waterparks are as labour intensive as they come.

The issue is you need about the same number of staff for 100 people that you need for 1000 people, you can’t skimp of lifeguards etc just because there are less people.

Also it takes the same energy to heat the water for 1 person etc.

I would be surprised if they opened midweek at all next year.
