I wouldn't be too interestedThey've got a backlog of DVC owners that have been allowed to move their points so I wouldn't expect any DVC resorts in the mix

Same for us when we went in 2018. SSR was an amazing price. My family are now committed to DDP now (we did almost all the character dining restaurants). So I am now obsessively checking to see if we will be able to go back in 2021 with a moderate, free dining and an upgrade (whilst dreaming about Animal Kingdom).

Can you add DDP after booking a hotel booking, ie could we book now with no dining at all - then add free DDP plus upgrade later? Thank you

It’s unlikely but does depend who you book with. If it was me I’d want to get it in writing before I booked.

I have just read that in the past, some have booked hotel only (at rack rate) and then upgraded to a package by adding tix and (in some cases also upgrading hotel room) which then mean't they got the free dining offer.

Their deposit was transferred to new offer AND no amendment fee because the cost of the new offer was more than the original booking!

This was from a US site though BUT worth checking out with WDTC if doable.

The US site allows free cancellation so these kinds of changes are possible as they essentially cancel the original booking. That’s not the case with WDTC UK so it’s not something I would count on. Personally I would always just wait.
