Best way to request VA refund?

Hi. We've just had our June flights cancelled by Virgin Atlantic.

Has anybody had any experience of the best way to contact them to request a refund? I dont see a phone number and I whatsapped them ages ago but got no reply.

Any help is appreciated. Ta

WhatsApp takes them a few days to reply, but they eventually do

Hi

I called them and just waited - took about an hour to get through but then they processed the refund - it will then take another 90 days to actually get it back to your card (at least this was the status a few weeks ago).

I used 03448 747747 - if you are calling from a mobile put 141 at the start to withhold your number or they'll say to text them instead and will send you a text and then cut you off - I tried that route first and wasted a week or so only to be told I had to call them to request a refund.

While I understand the pressure they're under and that they want to make it as difficult to get a refund as possible to keep hold of your money, an online option to request a refund would have gone a LONG way in providing customer service. Not to say that BA has been any better!

VA cancelled our outgoing 21 April flight on 6 April by email. The email had a link to their web site which quite helpfully gave instructions on how to re-route or re-schedule. Had to dig a bit deeper to find how to claim a refund. They said text to 07481 339184 but don't know if that's still valid. I've had a couple of responses from "real" people (not standard "thank you for your text" types) but no real progress yet other than 15 days to process and up to 90 thereafter.

They said to expect an email then from refund team to confirm it was on its way. Nothing yet

I get this bot-generated reply when I send them a message. Is this normal?

Had that on 4 May but only down to No 6. I just replied "I want a refund so I guess 6" Then Joe answered with real conversation. I've had David and Shane talk to me as well. I wonder what it's like in Mumbai at the minute

This is what I got.
When all the automated crap was done, I gave them my booking details and said I wanted a cash refund. I detailed the numbers.
Still awaiting a response.
Loads on Twitter saying they are waiting many days for a twitter or WhatsApp response form them.

Says they've sent out cancellation emails by mistake!

Unbelievable. Hadn't heard about that one.
I got the cancellation email. But my outbound flight hadn't been available to book for several days before.

I wonder if we are all going to be taking them to the small claims court. Mine is just under the limit for that route. Not that that is any use either if they dont survive.

I wrote to them on Sunday on Whatsapp requesting a refund on my bubble seats, we have been told the details of our new Heathrow flight but on a A330, which I have no issue with. Anyway i got a reply today congratulating me on my refund? , so as much as It says 'Sophie here' I think their computer generated answer cannot read
