Mobile British Airways Gatwick

Hi all

I’ve got myself confused. Have BA pulled out of Gatwick? Reason I ask is I’ve been searching flights and got really good prices for next year and am keen to book? Anybody else going with BA next year from LGW?

Yes, we have booked LGW - Tampa in April next year.

Its only Virgin who have pulled out of Gatwick at the moment. I'm fine if it changed to LHR, just an extra 40 minutes drive.

The onle thing certain about the current situation, BA included, is everything is very uncertain.

The last official press release from BA was around the time of the VA one - maybe early this month.

To paraphrase - they are seriously considering withdrawing from LGW and consolidating at their LHR hub.

Nothing since and no firm date.

We're due to fly to MCO with them in November. Let's just say we haven't booked an overnight airport hotel or parking yet.

It may be next week, next year or 2022 before they move but they will continue to sell flights from LGW to secure bookings and revenue.

Mick

I just booked a BA flight but made sure it was Heathrow - if they pull out of Gatwick they may not have the capacity to fly everyone from Heathrow instead.

YT

Was that to MCO?

We're also looking for next spring but not reached the 355 days yet

Mick

PS I guess not. Just tried LHR to MCO in April and the results changed to ex LGW

I’ve tied pricing up flights from Heathrow but it says they don’t fly to MCO. I didn’t think they were direct flights anyway?
