Your thoughts on BA

Just wondered what your thoughts are of BA, we have always flown VA. I understand it just a means of getting there, but would like people opinions, eg leg room, there entertainment system, customer services and also special needs as three of my party have disabilities. Thanks for any help.

We used to always fly VA but their prices were just going up and up so we booked through BA and have stuck with them for the last 4 years.
We loved VA but have found BA are equal or maybe a touch better. Entertainment has always been good, free wine and drinks,
Cannot fault them to be honest.
Just wish they would cancel out 21st July flight so we can cancel everything else !

Agreed - we flew VA for a long time but now find BA much better in terms of price & definitely service much better.

It’s annoying that BA charge extra for seat reservations whereas VA are free of charge.

Always preferred VA to BA as I have had problems with BA.
However, I am unlikely to use VA again unless they are much cheaper the alternatives due to their absolutely appalling handling of this CV19 situation and their utter contempt to customers.
But it will possibly be AL I will be using of the US airlines out of Dublin.

With the caveat that nobody is yet sure what post-Covid inflight service will look like (particularly around meals), there isn’t a huge difference between them (Virgin and BA) in economy. Legroom the same, BA now has good entertainment systems on most 777s (again, slight caveat if LGW is not restarted, fleet use may vary).

BA usually pretty good for special needs, and assuming the disability of at least one of the three people in your party is eligible, you’ll get free seat selection from time of booking (you’ll need to call).
