Thanks Kella, if we get there!

I’ve just started adding that to every sentence about the holiday since I found out about the potential for disruption with the virgin strike.

So just over 2 weeks to go, should be super excited, sorting packing and getting the house ready for our friends who are staying here for their Christmas and new year holidays while we are gone but can’t quite get in the zone.

I know everyone keeps saying it’s unlikely that flights will be disrupted by the ppu voting to strike but it certainly puts a damper on things. I know it’s not a first world problem but it still makes me a little concerned and sad.

I really hope you aren't affected by the strikes. I'm sorry to hear that you're worried about it. I hope you can start enjoying the last few days of preparation and I will absolutely keep my fingers crossed that everything goes well for you.

Thanks Goldia. I spoke to them yesterday and they assured me you would get some notice of what was happening rather than us spending Christmas in Manchester airport. They also said if there was an issue with our flight they would offer alternatives. The girl I spoke with was nice but theres nothing they can really tell you at this stage.

In the meantime I've been driving dh nuts by checking hotel availability (before and after in case we get sent early or stuck on the way back) at Universal... He's sick of me already and thats before we even go anywhere!

Hi, no thankfully where flying American Airlines. We’ve flown Virgin for the last several years but this year they wanted stupid £££££. The AA flight where literally half the virgin price.

I’m keeping everything crossed for you that your not disrupted xx

Sorry for the lack of updates.
I’ve been a bit reluctant to do much holiday stuff with the strike looming so it was Friday before I started getting organised. Fingers crossed it all goes to plan.
We are
Checked in
Packed
Tidied up for friends coming to stay.
Nails done.
All ready for an early tea and early night...
