Me too re the $$$ rate, it's really interesting seeing other budgets!
I am travelling with free DDP, we'd have to definintely rethink our plans if we couldn't get free dining for 3 weeks. And we are upgrading to deluxe given the recent DDP changes re dessert. That's added about £700 to the total cost of the holiday Remember, if you want free DDP you'll have to order Disney passes with your accomodation (bookable through Disney direct or Complete Orlando) so your APs will be almost useless. We are using ours to get the discounts e.g. merchandise, KTTK tickets etc |

You know instead of getting the DDP, you can buy a card called the Tables in Wonderland card for $75 it gives you 20% off food and drink (including alcohol), were doing that instead of DDP - especially as the DDP doesnt seem as much as a good deal for 2011?
Then you would not have to buy additional park passes?

Basically it is card you can by in Walt Disney World (at park entrances), you can only buy one if you have an annual pass (which you will if your getting married in walt disney world as you get them as part of the escape package), as I said they cost $75 to buy and and you will get 20% off food and drinks, you can use it as many times as you like and I think it covers up to 10 people on one card

This is what we are planning to do, I can understand how maybe the free DDP may work for families but for couples I think getting say AP rates on hotel rooms rather than paying 'rack' rate and then buying the TIW card works out a better deal.
We will no doubt make the $75 cost of the card back in just the saving we will make with it at the reception meal |
