Alamo at Fishermans Wharf, do they have a large selection?
As the title suggests, just wondered if anyone has picked up their car with Alamo at Fisherman's Wharf and if they have a large enough selection to choose from.

I’d be very surprised if you get a choice at all, normally the none airport locations you’re just allocated a car from the group you’ve paid for (or sometimes a class higher)

Usually allocated.
Go to the airport for a choice. We have usually found its cheaper too. |

We were allocated as well. It was a massive black SUV the kids nickname "Bruce"! Definitely wouldn't have picked it lol!

I picked up from the Sheraton and given the size of the parking lot I would think they drive the cars there ready for your pick up. There was no choice, the underground parking was tiny.

Just a though (and depending in what direction you're travelling), but, if you get a car you don't like or different to what you were expecting you could always drop in to another depot (airport maybe) and swap it over.
Never done this myself but believe it's possible. We are renting from Budget in FW and are thinking of doing this if we don't get what we're supposed to which is highly likely looking at the reviews! Sean |

Easier to just get an Uber to the airport and do it properly in the first place, and probably cheaper too.

Well, I thought it would have been too but it was near on £200.00 more expensive! This was a "fly-drive" package booked through BA.
Pick up at SFO was £2895, pick up at FW £2698 - just checked again. Not sure why as that was what I would have favoured. Possibly airport taxes or something? Sean Edited at 08:33 PM. |
