I am waiting to buy DH's Christmas present but I have no idea what to buy him. He is the man that quite literally has everything (including an amazing wife...). Any ideas welcome!

If he is a foodie, my DH loves the cold smoking kit he got last year - and I love the results! Smoked cheese, smoked butter, smoked garlic, smoked fish...

I always do the same thing for when I have decided to buy something that's not needed right now.

I research Camelcamelcamel and put my desired price in and wait for the E Mail notification that it's hit that price. Mind you sometime it never does

That becomes my starter for ten and I then check all the other retailers before buying. Works for me.

Try being out here! If it's not Black Friday deals it's law firm adverts! Some brilliant prices for big TVs I must say.

I do like a nice long gown for cruise formal nights. I currently have 3 out of many that I haven’t even worn yet.
Why did I do it?
I logged on to John Lewis and saw two beautiful ball gowns at £301 each reduced from even more than that. My sensible head took over and I decided not to be stupid!
Fast forward to this Black Friday according to JL!
There they were with buy me buy me photos reduced to £210 each!
So anyone see that movie, confections of a shopaholic?
Ummm! That was me!
My finger slipped!
They arrive tomorrow! I will only keep one. I promise!

You definitely have my sympathy.

It would be better, at least, if it replaced Boxing Day sales, so staff don't have to deal with both. I'm guessing that's not happening.

The sales start now and last until a week or so into the new year from what I can tell.

Black Friday (and pre-Black Friday) sales from mid November, then pre Christmas sales throughout December, followed by Boxing Day and New Years sales after that. Almost 2 months worth of sales (not to mention the post-Summer Autumn sales).

Funny when you think that at this time of year there's more demand to buy things so no real need to have sales. It's almost like these "sales" were manufactured in order to get us to buy even more whilst we're already in the mood to buy things. Hmm...

Simba mattress

Anyone had a simba mattress? What are your thoughts?

There is good deal for black friday but worried that it will feel weird being foam.

Many thanks!

Asda have some bargains be they Black Friday or otherwise. DH dropped his tablet and in his rush to pick it up he stepped on it! Shopping in Asda yesterday they had RCA 10" tablets for £89, all seems good so far!
