What a great start to the trip and it looks like you've beaten the jet lag too. The cycling around the city sounds like a great idea, the totem poles looked amazing and I thought the misty, clouds over the bridge made it look quite atmospheric. You must have been worn out by the end of it all and no wonder you all settled in for some cocktails. An amazing first day and I can't wait to see what you got upto next.

Thank you Abby, it was a fab first day. Getting around the city on bikes is a great way of seeing loads, Vancouver really is very bike friendly.
We really found a gem of a place at Joeys, the cocktails were so good!

What a brilliant day. I do wish we’d have used bikes to explore Stanley Park, as we just didn’t see enough of it on foot.

I’m liking the sound of Jim’s raspberry vodka and cloudy lemonade - that’s just my kind of drink.

Am seriously impressed at the stamina you all have. I’d have been flagging by mid afternoon. 😳 I never seem to cope well with the time changes when I travel.

Stanley Park is deceivingly large isn’t it? We didn’t even see all the different parts and that was on a bike, you’ll just have to go back again 😃
It’s my new favourite drink! The Absolute Raspberry vodka is so good!
I think it must have been adrenaline that kept us going as I am usually in bed by 10 😂

We had such a fun first day Karen, hiring a bike is the perfect way to see the city!

Phew! I'm exhausted just reading of your bike adventures today! You must have cycled miles. Well worth it to see so much of the city though - I hope you don't feel too sore tomorrow.

Fab food and drinks to finish the day off

We really did! I love to hire bikes in a city as you get to cover so much more ground than on foot. You do get a sore bum though
