AIBU Wedding Thread
Hello, this is a non Disney wedding thread and I am posting here as I need some advice and I have no idea if I am being an unreasonable bridesmaid to my friend.
So as I said, I am bridesmaid today my friend and she is doing a DIY wedding in a hotel. There is another wedding on the night before that ends around midnight. The bride wants the bridal party to stay in this hotel the night before (out of pocket) and be on hand to decorate the venue from midnight. I also don’t think it will be exactly midnight as the other wedding will not end bang on and then the hotel will need to clean the room and take down that weddings decorations. Then at 7am we are all awake for hair and make up. I wasn’t asked if I would be okay with this! It was just implied that I would have to be. I am thinking of just saying I can’t afford the hotel and then that gets me out of the decor. What do you all think? The wedding is also in England so not abroad and is very much a normal, home wedding that is taking place in June. |

It might be difficult to get a room at the hotel anyway as guests of the other wedding might be staying there, maybe check out availability, also would the hotel actually allow you in at that time to potentially make noise for other guests?
What I am trying to say is check this out before you give your decision. I wouldn’t be happy to do this myself, I am sure they allow time before wedding to get it decorated anyway. Who was originally going to do the decorations? I thought hotels did this as part of the package?
