Which cruise would you pick?

Hi we are currently looking to do our 1st cruise in October. Our options are 3 nights on the wish with a few days in universal or 4 nights on the dream from Miami. The 4 night is a cheaper cruise but we have never been to Miami so don’t know where is best to stay etc. Thoughts and advice would be appreciated. Thanks 😊

I would do The Dream. As a first time cruiser I would avoid The Wish for 2022 and wait until the new itineraries are released for 2023 and book on opening day.

The Wish is a new ship and huge amounts of DCL regular cruisers as booking it in 2022.

DCL operates dynamic pricing, so when booking opens about 18 months before sail date, the prices are the lowest they will be . Then as the ship fills, the prices go up.

Also DCL has a loyalty program called Castaway Club with 4 levels. They open booking of the cruise and then nearer to sail date booking of onboard upcharge activities according to Castaway Club level. There are huge numbers of people in the top loyalty level, and they are booking things up on all The Wish sailings in 2022 before other levels and first time cruisers booking window opens.

Wait a year or two for The Wish and the novelty factor will have eased off and prices will be lower due to lower demand and you will have a better chance of booking onboard upcharge activities.

I would always go with more days cruising, as many as possible!

4 nights on the dream sounds perfect. 3 nights is ok but 4 is better

4 days on the Dream would be my pick and if you can stretch to it check out their 5 day itineraries, 2 sea days will give you plenty of time to see the ship, make the most of the facilities/activities (hard to do in 3 days) and just relax - which is the best part of the cruise after all!
