Not bu the sea, but next to Windermere. The water edge inn is on the banks of Windermere in Ambleside. Nice hotel if you get the garden room and the food is nice.

Thanks to covid putting up off travelling abroad we have booked a couple of cottages via hoseasons and cottages.com (think the same company), they worked out quite reasonably priced and we enjoyed having the dog with us. Cottages.com we could even use tesco clubcard points to reduce the price.
Last year we went to the Cotswolds and found that very dog friendly. We had a day out in Bourton-on-the-water, dogs were allowed in the car/toy museum, Birdland (she loved this), most of the pubs. We went into Bristol and Bath via the park and ride, and did the hop-on-hop off bus and the boat trip in both places - all dog friendly. Obviously lots of lovely walks

Tanpits cottage is beautiful, however its extremely difficult to book and you have to book 18 months in advance usually.
