Fly in day before cruise?
Hi
I am looking at booking a cruise out of new york next May but I would only be able to fly out to New York ( direct from Manchester) the day before the cruise. Usually when I am going on a cruise I will fly out a couple of days before 'just in case' as I am a bit of a worrier. Just wondering what others would do? Do you like to give yourself more of a buffer in case things go wrong? |

Always two, if not three, days before the cruise for us - especially if flying to the States. In November we’re cruising out of New York and flying in two days before and that’s with booking flights through the cruise line. This means it’s part of a travel package and if there are any delays, they are responsible for getting us to the ship, at the first port if necessary.

Med cruises we usually fly out the day before and that is ample but we have a cruise booked from NY in 2024 which sails on Wednesday but we will fly out on Thursday. This works well as we wanted to visit the city again anyway.
